Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times…
With all the Potter madness zooming around wildly like a jinxed Dobby bludger, here’s a comment I received from a fellow blogger on my Deathly Hallows Premiere Coverage regarding their thoughts on the series coming to a close, along with my return opinion.
What say you?
– Inspired by all the Goodbye-Harry-and-You-Know-Who buzz
The world is too big and life is too short,
You are no Harry and no Voldemort.
Not even a sidekick — bystander at best,
Watching the heroes to go on a quest.
Exit the theater, close the book,
Hear one more sound, take one more look.
It felt so real, but magic is gone
You are not Chosen, you are just one.
One of the many, who fell under a spell,
Those who have dreams, but no story to tell.
Running away from a life so mundane
That in the mornings it drives you insane.
A lie. An escape. But here’s a twist:
Some years ago it didn’t exist.
Heroes and villains, wizards and wands —
Someone like you made them real at once.
Take a deep breath. Close your eyes.
Feel all the doubts melting like ice.
Life may be short, but it can be a ride.
There is magic. Right there. Inside.
– Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times,
if one only remembers to turn on the light
Written by Zen Terrelonge
For a decade we’ve grown, we’ve laughed and we’ve cried,
Sadness consumed us, when characters died.
Live with the light, HP’s gone not forgotten,
Don’t yield to the darkness, don’t be so downtrodden.
Poetic your words are, but where is the love?
We’re in this together, condemn none of us.
Believe in the books, be free, mind explore,
Don’t turn your back now, don’t close that door.
Inside us there’s magic, of that I agree,
It’s also created for you and for me.
More than one kind, more than just two,
Magic is everywhere for me and for you.
