The 19th Amsterdam Dance Event has been confirmed for 2014 and will run from 15th to 19th October.
ADE has grown consecutively over the past three years and almost doubled in size, and 350,000 visitors from across the globe are expected at the autumn event as the public interest in electronic dance music (EDM) has surged.
The 2013 edition saw ADE concentrate on the 25th anniversary of dance music in the Netherlands, which comprised a book launch, outdoor exhibition, chat shows, film screenings and more, while 2,156 artists performed in 80 different venues.
Richard Zijlma, ADE director, said: “Dance music is currently in the process of conquering the world, with more and more countries and industries getting involved. Consequently ADE has become a global knowledge and business platform that the world, and the Netherlands and Amsterdam in particular, all benefit from.”
